Privacy Policy
We process personal data to provide regulated employment background reports as a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA). This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how to reach us with questions or disputes.
Information we collect
- Candidate identifiers, contact details, and authorization artifacts supplied by employers.
- Public record data, court files, credential verification responses, and watchlist hits from trusted data providers.
- Platform telemetry (IP logs, device information) used for fraud prevention and security monitoring.
How we use personal data
We use personal data solely to produce employment background reports, fulfill legal record-keeping obligations, maintain audit trails, improve our services, and support consumer inquiries or disputes.
Regulatory retention
Operational portals expose candidate data for 30 days by default. We retain records only as needed to meet FCRA dispute and audit obligations and any other applicable legal or regulatory requirements. Archived data is stored with strict access controls, logging, and segregation from production systems.
Security safeguards
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards aligned with our SOC 2 Type II control environment. Review the full scope, audit period, and access request workflow on our Security page.
We continuously monitor for security incidents. To date, we have not identified any reportable unauthorized access to consumer reports, and we commit to notify affected parties if that changes.
Consumer rights
Consumers may request a copy of their file, dispute inaccuracies, or ask questions at any time. Start with our FCRA compliance page, which includes contact options and required disclosures.
