FCRA Compliance at Vuplicity (We’re a CRA)

Vuplicity, LLC is a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA) under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. §1681 et seq. We furnish employment background reports only for permissible purposes and follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy.

Your obligations (employers / users)

  • Permissible purpose is required before ordering reports. (FCRA §604)
  • Disclosure & authorization must be obtained from the consumer before ordering an employment report. (FCRA §604(b); user obligations summary)
  • Adverse action workflow: provide a pre-adverse notice with a copy of the report and Summary of Rights, then issue a final adverse action notice. (FCRA §615)

Our CRA duties

  • Accuracy (§607(b)): We maintain procedures for maximum possible accuracy.
  • Public record info (§613): We either use strict matching procedures or send contemporaneous notices when reporting public record information for employment.
  • Consumer disclosures & disputes (§§609–611): Consumers can access their file and dispute inaccuracies; we reinvestigate promptly. Contact details are below.

For disputes under FCRA §611, submit your written request via certified mail to the address above (keep the delivery receipt) and copy support@vuplicity.com so we can confirm receipt. Employers issuing pre-adverse or adverse action notices should also send those by mail with proof of delivery in addition to electronic copies.
